Pakistan Is the Indivisible Homeland, Rest Are Administrative Units: Khalid Maqbool

HYDERABAD:Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that Pakistan is the indivisible homeland, while all other regions are merely administrative units.

Addressing a Defence Day and Martyrs’ Day ceremony in Hyderabad, Khalid Maqbool said power had moved from one feudal to another and remained trapped within the same system. He said that when decisions were not made through proper channels, they eventually took place on the streets, adding that MQM had experience of political struggles on the streets.

He said the people should be clear that Pakistan was their homeland and could not be divided, while all other regions should be regarded as administrative units.

Khalid Maqbool said MQM had participated in the passage of the 18th Constitutional Amendment because even without its participation, the Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz would have been able to pass the amendment.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister Mustafa Kamal, addressing the ceremony, said that a year ago Pakistanis had little international influence, but today major powers were looking towards Pakistan’s Field Marshal and prime minister to help resolve their challenges.

Mustafa Kamal claimed that Pakistan had helped prevent a third world war and said the country now engaged with a superpower on an equal footing and with dignity.
