“Remove Those Who Are Not Working”: Mustafa Kamal Makes Surprise Visit to PIMS

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Health Mustafa Kamal made a surprise visit to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), expressing strong displeasure over the performance of the hospital’s newly appointed Executive Director and administration.
During the visit, Mustafa Kamal directed the administration to immediately remove employees who were demonstrating negligence, inefficiency or poor performance.
The federal health minister warned that the entire healthcare system was being affected because of a failure to take tough decisions. He instructed the administration to set aside the culture of favoritism and recommendations and take action against those who were not performing their duties.
“Remove whoever is not working because none of our relatives are employed here,” Mustafa Kamal told the hospital administration.
The minister stressed that effective measures and accountability were necessary to improve the functioning of the hospital and ensure better healthcare services for patients.
