Negotiations Environment Not Conducive, Says Salman Akram Raja

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has said that he does not see a conducive environment for negotiations with the government.

Speaking during a private television program, Salman Akram Raja said the government was not implementing court orders concerning PTI founder Imran Khan.

He said by failing to comply with the court orders, the government was sending a message to the PTI that negotiations would take place only on the government’s terms.

“Under such circumstances, what kind of negotiations can take place?” he questioned.

Salman Akram Raja said there was currently no environment for meaningful talks with the government and that he did not see the situation as conducive to negotiations.

He added that negotiations could take place when the government demonstrated sincerity and showed its willingness to engage in dialogue.
