Balochistan Assembly Opposition Walks Out Over Non-Allotment of Chambers to Committee Chairpersons

QUETTA: Opposition members of the Balochistan Assembly staged a walkout from the session after raising concerns over the failure to allot chambers to chairpersons of various standing committees despite the passage of two years.

The issue was raised by National Party (NP) MPA Rahmat Saleh Baloch during the assembly session. He questioned why the committee chairpersons had still not been provided with their designated chambers after such a long delay.

Protesting the matter, opposition lawmakers walked out of the assembly proceedings.

However, the opposition members later returned to the session after members of the government assured them that steps would be taken to resolve the issue.

The assembly proceedings subsequently resumed with the participation of both government and opposition members.
