Four Militants Killed in Successful Awaran Operation, Says Shahid Rind

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister’s Adviser for Information and Political Affairs Shahid Rind has welcomed a successful security operation in Awaran conducted under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, saying the fight against terrorism will continue until the last militant is eliminated.

According to Shahid Rind, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation against militant hideouts on the basis of confirmed intelligence reports.

He said the movement of the militants was effectively monitored through aerial surveillance, following which a precise strike was carried out using a quadcopter.

As a result of the operation, four militants were killed, while a large quantity of military equipment and other material was recovered from their possession, Rind said.

The chief minister’s adviser praised the effective use of modern technology and intelligence in the fight against terrorism, saying such capabilities were playing an important role in counterterrorism operations.

“There is no place in Balochistan for elements seeking to undermine peace and stability,” Rind said.

He added that the government and people of Balochistan stood firmly with the country’s security forces and appreciated their efforts against terrorist elements.

Rind said operations against militants would continue without interruption and vowed that the fight against terrorism would continue until the last militant was eliminated.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to protecting peace and stability in Balochistan and defeating elements seeking to disrupt security in the province.
