Solution to Balochistan’s Problems Lies in Dialogue, Not Guns,” Says Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman Baloch, Urges Immediate Assembly Session

**Quetta:**
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman Baloch, Provincial MPA and Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan, has called for an immediate session of the provincial assembly to address the province’s worsening law and order situation and to develop a joint political strategy. He emphasized that sustainable peace and resolution of grievances require consultations among all political party leaders, security forces, and community elders, rather than force or military operations.
Speaking to the media, Maulana Baloch expressed deep sorrow over the rising incidents of extremism in various districts, which have claimed the lives of many innocent civilians, including women and children. He condemned the loss of human lives, stressing that bloodshed—regardless of the perpetrator—is unacceptable and cannot justify any political or ideological goal.
He reiterated Jamaat-e-Islami’s firm stance against militancy and extremism, stating that guns and violence have never brought peace or achieved objectives in Balochistan; instead, they foster fear, hatred, and further bloodshed. Maulana Baloch urged both the government and militant groups to abandon the use of force and pursue serious, meaningful negotiations to prevent further loss of life and ensure that the people of Balochistan can live in a safe, peaceful, and dignified environment.
He highlighted that the government’s failure to protect civilians and the continued increase in terrorist attacks have created widespread fear among the public, underlining the urgent need for effective and immediate measures. Concluding his statement, Maulana Baloch expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs, affirming solidarity with those affected during this difficult time.
