Six Arrested in Khuzdar Murder Case of Asma Jattak’s Father, Weapons and Vehicles Recovered
KHUZDAR: Khuzdar Police have arrested six suspects in connection with the murder of the father of Asma Jattak after conducting large-scale raids at various locations in the Anjira area.
According to police, a significant quantity of weapons was recovered from the possession of the arrested suspects, while two vehicles were also taken into custody during the operation.
Khuzdar Range DIG Wazir Khan Nasir and SSP Khuzdar Dostain Dashti shared details of the operation during a press conference. They said further interrogation of the arrested suspects was underway.
Police said all legal requirements were being fulfilled to take the case to its logical conclusion.
The murder had triggered widespread grief and anger in the area. Police said the investigation was being conducted from all relevant angles to identify those responsible for the killing.
It may be recalled that on August 4, 2026, Asma Jattak had released a video in which she expressed concerns about threats to her family allegedly from suspect Zahoor Jamaldini. A few hours after the video was released, her father was shot dead outside their residence.
The incident sparked widespread condemnation and calls for justice across Balochistan. Police have assured that every possible effort will be made to bring the perpetrators to justice.
