Government Has Failed to Maintain Law and Order and Provide Basic Facilities: National Party Leaders
QUETTA: Leaders of the National Party have said that the Hazara community has played a fundamental role in the development and progress of Quetta and Balochistan, describing the increasing participation of members of the community in the party as a welcome development.
Addressing a gathering, National Party Central Senior Vice President Mir Shaukat Bizenjo, Central Spokesperson Ali Ahmed Lango, Central Committee members Mir Abdul Khaliq Baloch, Chairman Mehrab Baloch, Niaz Baloch and Dr Ramadan Hazara, among others, said the National Party was gaining growing popularity among the Hazara community under the leadership of Dr Ramadan Hazara.
The leaders alleged that the provincial government was virtually absent from many parts of Balochistan and that elected representatives were unable to visit their constituencies due to the deteriorating security situation.
They said the poor law and order situation had politically and economically paralysed the province. They added that national highways had become difficult to travel on, while people were facing serious difficulties in obtaining essential food items.
The leaders said that although the Balochistan government was fully present in Quetta, the provincial capital itself remained deprived of basic facilities. They pointed out that residents were facing shortages of water, electricity and gas.
They also criticized the city’s poor sanitation, saying inadequate cleanliness had contributed to the spread of various diseases. According to the leaders, hospitals in the city lacked both doctors and medicines, while educational institutions were also deprived of basic facilities.
The National Party leaders said the September 4 gathering on Alamdar Road would play an important role in highlighting the problems, difficulties and basic needs faced by residents of Mariabad, Hazara Town and other parts of Quetta.
They called on party workers to continue their mobilization efforts to ensure the success of the gathering.
Central Secretary General of BSO-Pajjar Abrar Barkat Baloch, Dr Tariq Agha, Haq Nawaz Shah, Baloch, National Party Provincial Farmers Secretary Haji Farooq Shahwani, Provincial Human Rights Secretary Aneel Ghori and members of the Working Committee, including Haji Naeem Bangulzai, Colonel Qazi Rind, Riaz Zehri, Hanif Kakar, Agha Zehan Shah, Agha Muhammad Shah, Nasrullah Shahwani, Haji Aziz Sarpara, Sanaullah Khiazai, Arif Kurd, Usman Lango, Irshad Lango, Mehdi Hazara and Rajab Khiazai, were also present.
