Islamabad: It has been revealed that approximately 20,000 Pakistani citizens are currently imprisoned in jails across 88 countries. The details, obtained by Express News, highlight that among these detainees are 68 individuals facing death sentences for charges including terrorism, murder, and drug trafficking.
The distribution of Pakistani prisoners is as follows: 5,292 in the United Arab Emirates, 10,432 in Saudi Arabia, 463 in Malaysia, 321 in the United Kingdom, 578 in Oman, 387 in Turkey, 371 in Bahrain, 598 in Greece, 406 in China, 90 in Germany, 40 in Iraq, 114 in the United States, 89 in Sri Lanka, 92 in Spain, 85 in Afghanistan, 48 in South Africa, and 286 in France.
