Woman Fires at Trailer Driver After Traffic Collision in Karachi
Accidents caused by heavy traffic in Karachi show no signs of slowing down. Today, a trailer collided with a car near Isa Nagri, leading to a shocking incident where the female passenger of the car opened fire at the trailer driver.
According to police reports, the accident took place near Isa Nagri. As soon as the trailer struck the car, the woman exited the vehicle and fired at the driver. The driver, in response, ran for safety and managed to hide behind security personnel to avoid being shot.
The police have confirmed that both the woman and the trailer driver have been arrested, and an investigation is underway. The case document states that both individuals acted negligently while driving, and the woman, in a fit of rage, fired her pistol after the accident.
Authorities also revealed that the woman possessed a 9mm pistol, which was licensed; however, her weapon license had expired in 2023.
This incident comes just days after another tragic accident in Karachi, where a trailer ran over a couple on a motorcycle. The woman, who was pregnant at the time, gave birth during the incident, but sadly, both the child and the mother passed away.
The increasing number of traffic accidents in Karachi, especially involving heavy vehicles, has raised concerns about road safety and the need for stricter traffic regulations.
