WhatsApp Users Find Workaround to Remove Meta’s AI Feature
Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp has recently introduced an AI chatbot feature, but many users are expressing concerns and dissatisfaction with the addition. According to technology reports, some users have discovered a potential workaround to remove the AI button, sparking a debate among WhatsApp’s user base.
Reports indicate that after failing to remove the Meta AI button, WhatsApp users have been advised to switch to an alternative version of the app, *WhatsApp Business*, which, according to these users, does not include the controversial AI feature. WhatsApp Business is primarily designed for business owners to communicate with customers and is available for free to all users with a valid phone number, much like the regular WhatsApp app.
A Reddit post shared by users suggests that those unhappy with the AI feature can transition to WhatsApp Business since it currently lacks this addition. Furthermore, if users still find the AI feature appearing on their WhatsApp, they have another option: downgrading to an older version of the app. This can be done by downloading a previous version from a trusted source and installing it on their device.
This workaround offers a potential solution for those who wish to avoid Meta’s new AI integration on WhatsApp, although it remains to be seen whether this method will be effective in the long run.
