WhatsApp Introduces New Feature to Enhance Calling Experience

WhatsApp is rolling out an exciting new feature aimed at improving the calling experience for users. According to a report, this feature is currently available in the beta version for some users.
The new update introduces a redesigned call menu for both individual and group chats. The call menu will now be moved to the top of the chat box, replacing the individual voice and video call buttons that previously appeared within the chat window. These buttons will now be consolidated into a single button.
When the new button is clicked, a pop-up menu will appear, giving users the option to choose between making a voice or video call. Additionally, this menu will offer a shortcut to create and share a call link, making it easier for users to invite others to join a call.
With this feature, users will be able to select specific individuals or participants from any WhatsApp group and make a call directly to them. Previously, group calls were automatically directed to all members, or anyone could join the call.
Earlier in December 2024, WhatsApp had introduced other features to enhance audio and video calling. These included video calling effects and improvements to the calling experience on the desktop version. The company also announced plans to further improve video call quality.
