Karachi: WhatsApp, the world’s most popular messaging app, is working on a highly anticipated feature that will significantly enhance user privacy.
The new feature aims to allow users to send messages without disclosing their phone numbers. Instead, users will be able to create an account using a pseudonym and communicate through it. This will ensure that users can keep their phone numbers private while still engaging with others on the platform.
Currently, this feature is available only to beta users, but it is expected to be rolled out to all users soon. Once the feature is officially released, users will be prompted to update their app via the Play Store or iOS Store. After updating, users will find an option in the settings to select a username, similar to how names are used on Facebook for searches.
