We have a Muslim girl in the MCU, cheers Hasan Minhaj

American comedian Hasan Minhaj has expressed his happiness about a Muslim character being introduced in ‘Ms. Marvel’.

In a tweet, while posting a picture with Iman Vellani, who has played the role of Kamala Khan in Ms. Marvel series, wrote, “What a time to be alive. We have a Muslim girl in the MCU.”

“Started watching Ms. Marvel and absolutely loved it. Iman Vellani is a star, the cast is amazing, and the series gets even better over time. Shout out to the director for championing this project for the past decade,” he wrote.

Ms. Marvel is an American television miniseries created by Bisha K. Ali for the streaming service Disney+ which is based on the Marvel Comics character Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel.

Written by Bisma K. Ali, the series is directed by Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, Adil El Arbi, Bilall Fallah, and Meera Memon. The cast includes Iman Vellani, Aramis Knight, Matt Lintz, Saagar Shaikh, Yasmeen Fletcher, Rish Shah.

The project includes many notable Pakistani actors have featured in the series such as Fawad Khan, Mehwish Hayat, and Nimra Bucha. Bollywood actor and singer Farhan Akhtar will also be making a guest appearance on the show.
