Viral Video of ‘Demonic Cloud’ in Turkey: Fact vs Fiction

A video showing a bizarre, “demonic face” cloud in Turkey has recently gone viral on social media, sending waves of fear among viewers. The footage, originally posted in 2021, has resurfaced and is now being shared with intriguing captions, sparking widespread curiosity and fear.

According to reports, the video was first shared in 2021 but is now circulating again, with many mistakenly believing it to be related to a recent event. However, the video is actually from an old storm, and the claim that it is connected to any recent occurrences is false.

A similar event occurred in 2023 when a cloud over the sky in the northwestern Turkish city of Bursa appeared to resemble a UFO. Experts, however, clarified that it was just a natural cloud formation and not an extraterrestrial craft.

Another video making the rounds claims that after a storm, a strange “demonic face” cloud appeared in Turkey’s sky, causing panic among the residents. The video was shared on the X (formerly Twitter) account *UFO Mania*, which claimed that the image caused widespread fear in the city. However, upon closer inspection, the video was found to be a repost from *Hoforum*, a Turkish weather account, originally posted in September 2021.

### What’s Really Happening?
A report confirms that unusual cloud formations are not uncommon in Turkey. For instance, in January 2023, residents of Bursa observed a strange cloud that appeared to resemble a UFO, sparking similar rumors. In reality, this was a *lenticular cloud*, a natural cloud formation known for its lens or saucer-like shape. These clouds can remain in the sky for up to an hour without changing shape and are often mistaken for something otherworldly.

The Turkish Meteorological Service clarified that the “demonic face” cloud, as it has been labeled, is simply another instance of a *lenticular cloud*. These clouds are known for their smooth, round shape and typically form at altitudes between 2,000 and 5,000 meters. Despite the scientific explanation, the viral video continues to fuel speculation and intrigue, with some users even creating fictional stories to attract views.

In conclusion, while such cloud formations may seem eerie or unusual, they are a natural phenomenon and not related to any supernatural or extraterrestrial events.
