Violence Erupts in Gwadar: One Security Personnel Martyred, Sixteen Injured
Rawalpindi: On July 24, in an act of aggression, an unruly mob associated with the nameless Baloch Raji Movement attacked security forces on duty in Gwadar district. Tragically, Sepoy Shabir Baloch (age: 30; resident of Sibi district) embraced martyrdom, while sixteen personnel, including an officer, were wounded during the violent demonstrations.
Furthermore, on social media, there has been a dissemination of fake and malicious propaganda using fabricated images and videos to garner sympathy and support for unlawful violent marches. Despite attempts to incite unrest, security forces have displayed utmost restraint to prevent unnecessary civilian casualties.
The violent actions of the mob are unacceptable, and those responsible will be held accountable. Citizens are urged not to fall prey to propaganda, to remain calm and peaceful, and to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace and security. Pakistan’s security forces remain determined to thwart attempts aimed at sabotaging peace and stability in Balochistan, standing firm with the nation.
