Verdict on 190 Million Pounds Reference Against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi Postponed Until January 13
GHQ Attack and May 9 Tragedy Cases Adjourned Until January 8
Islamabad: The verdict in the 190 million pounds reference case against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi has been postponed once again, and will now be delivered on January 13. Meanwhile, the hearings for 13 cases, including the GHQ attack and the May 9 tragedy, have been adjourned until January 8.
The accountability court had scheduled the verdict for today; however, due to the leave of Judge Nasir Javed Rana, the decision could not be announced. The court staff informed Imran Khan’s lawyer, Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, that the judgment would not be delivered today, and the next date would be set by the court.
Subsequently, the court announced that the new date for the 190 million pounds case verdict would be January 13. The hearing for this case took place at the NAB court in G-11, rather than in Adiala Jail, as Imran Khan’s attendance in court was not feasible due to his incarceration. The court’s decision is now expected to be made on the newly set date.
In other developments, the hearings for the GHQ attack case, the May 9 tragedy, and other related cases have been postponed until January 8. Judge Amjad Ali Shah is on training leave, which is why no proceedings will be held today at Adiala Jail. All accused individuals have been exempted from today’s attendance.
