Panjgur:Following the severe flooding in Pishin River, the bund facing west towards Khudaabadan near Pascol Colony in Panjgur has suffered a breach, resulting in several houses being inundated. Despite the immediate assessment by a single team right after the flood, no repair work has commenced on the damaged bund so far.
Local authorities, including the Deputy Commissioner and notably Member of National Assembly Phulain Baloch and Member of Provincial Assembly Asadullah Baloch, are urging immediate attention to this matter once again. With the upcoming monsoon season posing a potential threat of major storms, they emphasize the crucial need to implement precautionary measures promptly.
“We appeal for urgent action to repair this bund before the onset of heavy rains, which could exacerbate the situation and endanger more homes,” they stressed.
The community remains apprehensive as they brace themselves for the upcoming rainy season, underscoring the importance of proactive measures to mitigate the impact of potential natural disasters.
Authorities have been urged to expedite the repair process and ensure the safety and security of the affected population ahead of anticipated weather challenges.
