Quetta:The province of Balochistan remains in turmoil as protests led by the Baloch Unity Committee persist across various regions, severing communication with other provinces due to road blockades. The ongoing demonstrations have led to spoilage of perishable goods in trucks stranded on highways.
In a tragic turn of events near Talar, close to Gwadar, security forces reportedly opened fire on demonstrators, resulting in the loss of lives of more than three protesters and injuries to over fifty others. Similar clashes erupted in Dalbandin Bai Pass, where confrontations between police and protesters escalated, leading to instances of stone pelting on police vehicles.
Following the relocation of Raji Machi’s leaders, the protests have now shifted to Quetta, where demonstrators continue to gather outside Balochistan University. The situation remains tense as both sides refrain from dialogue, opting instead for confrontations that have escalated tensions across the province.
