Universities in Quetta Shut Down Indefinitely Due to Security Concerns

Quetta, Pakistan:The University of Balochistan has been closed indefinitely due to security concerns, with the administration shifting all teaching activities to online platforms. The university, including its various campuses in Quetta, has transitioned to virtual learning to continue academic activities.
Similarly, Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University has already started offering online classes for female students. Meanwhile, Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITMS) has suspended all in-person classes until Eid ul-Fitr, with the announcement that all classes will be conducted online. The university’s transportation services have also been suspended indefinitely.
However, the campuses in Zhob and Muslim Bagh will continue their regular teaching activities as usual. According to sources, these measures were taken due to security threats, leading to the temporary closure of the universities in the region.
