UAE Denies Reports of Visa Ban on Pakistanis

Karachi: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has firmly denied rumors claiming a visa ban on Pakistani nationals. UAE Consul General Dr. Bakhit Atiq Al-Rumeithi, during an event, strongly rejected the allegations, stating, “It is a false claim that the UAE is not issuing visas to Pakistanis.”
He further clarified that anyone wishing to obtain a visa should visit the UAE visa center. The Consul General also reaffirmed the UAE’s support for Pakistan, emphasizing, “We have been instructed by our government to stand with Pakistan.”
Al-Rumeithi also hinted at significant developments in terms of investment in Pakistan, stating that in the coming month or two, there would be important progress in this area.
This statement came in response to media reports last week, which claimed that the UAE government had issued a document imposing a visa ban on Pakistanis. These reports also suggested that the UAE Cabinet was considering restrictions on Pakistani visas during a meeting.
This is not the first time the UAE Consul General has addressed such rumors. Back in August, he had also refuted similar claims and warned that Pakistanis should avoid engaging in negative propaganda against their country, institutions, or politicians on social media. He cautioned that sharing or liking inappropriate content on social media, whether in Pakistan or the UAE, could leave a digital footprint, potentially leading to visa rejection or bans.
