Two More Polio Cases Confirmed in Pakistan, Total Rises to 67 in 2024

Islamabad:Two more polio cases have been confirmed in Pakistan, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 67 this year.

According to the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC), the latest cases were reported from Tank and Kashmore districts. The confirmation came from laboratory results, which identified one polio case each from these two regions.

This marks the fourth case of polio in Tank and the second case in Kashmore for the year 2024. The increasing number of cases highlights the ongoing challenges faced by the country in eradicating the polio virus, despite ongoing vaccination efforts.
