Two Kashmiri Employees Kidnapped from Balochistan Return to Muzaffarabad After Three Months

Quetta:Two Kashmiri employees of a private company, who were kidnapped from Balochistan, have returned to Muzaffarabad after three months. The two men, Faiz Ahmed Qureshi and Abdul Rahim Abbasi, were released from the custody of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and have finally reached their home after a long ordeal.
Upon their return, their families expressed immense joy and relief. Faiz Ahmed Qureshi became emotional upon seeing his young son, while Abdul Rahim Abbasi was also moved to tears as he reunited with his family members. Earlier, Pakistan People’s Party’s Chief Organizer Sardar Mukhtar Abbasi welcomed the two young men in Kohala.
Sardar Mukhtar Abbasi, who is also the owner of Progressive Technical Associates, the construction company where the two men worked as site in-charges on a project in Balochistan, played a key role in their safe return.
The two Kashmiri employees were abducted on October 14 last year when armed assailants attacked the company’s camp in the Mangchar area of Balochistan, taking several people hostage, including the three Kashmiri workers. Initially, the other captives were released, but the three Kashmiri workers were kept in captivity.
Tragically, one of the kidnapped men, Raja Qaiser, was killed by the abductors on December 30, and his body was later laid to rest in his hometown of Kohala on January 2. Initial reports indicated that the kidnappers were demanding ransom from the families of the hostages, but it was also rumored on social media that the ransom was being sought from the company rather than the families.
Mukhtar Ahmed Abbasi, the owner of the company, clarified that the kidnappers had eventually released Faiz Ahmed Qureshi and Abdul Rahim Abbasi in a remote mountainous area of Balochistan, from where they made their way back to Muzaffarabad. He also rejected rumors about ransom demands, calling them baseless, and expressed concern that such news was damaging the reputation of his company.
