Two Fishermen Injured as Small Boat Capsizes in Kund Malir

Othal:Two fishermen were injured when their small boat capsized due to a large sea wave in the coastal area of Kund Malir, a popular recreational spot in the Lasbela district. The injured fishermen were later rescued and transferred to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Othal.
According to sources, on Saturday, two fishermen—Azim Khan, son of Ramadan, a resident of Kund Malir, and Iqbal, son of Sardal, a resident of Sapt Bandar—went fishing in a small boat off the coast of Kund Malir. While they were out at sea, the boat was struck by a powerful wave, causing it to overturn. Both fishermen fell into the water and got trapped beneath the capsized boat.
Rescue teams quickly reached the scene and pulled the injured men out of the sea. Iqbal sustained a fracture in his leg, while Azim Khan, who was unconscious, suffered minor injuries. Both were promptly taken to DHQ Hospital Othal for treatment.
The incident highlights the dangers fishermen face while working at sea, especially when dealing with unpredictable sea conditions.
