Trudeau Warns Canada About Trump’s Threat to Annex the Country

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has warned his colleagues that U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat to annex Canada is based on reality. According to foreign media reports, Trudeau expressed concern over Trump’s desire to take control of Canada’s valuable natural resources. He emphasized that Canada should take the American threat seriously.

Before making this statement, Trudeau had asked local media to leave the room, but Canadian news outlets like *Toronto Star* and *CBC* managed to record his comments.

In a private meeting with business leaders in Toronto, Trudeau revealed that Trump wants to make Canada the 51st state of the United States, primarily due to Canada’s rich mineral resources. Trudeau further noted that the U.S. is aware of Canada’s vast resources and wants to exploit them. He pointed out that Trump sees the easiest way to benefit from these resources as absorbing Canada into the U.S.

Earlier, Trump had stated that he would use economic power against Canada and suggested that Canada should become the 51st state of the U.S. Trudeau, however, firmly rejected the idea, stating that Canada would never be absorbed into the U.S., not even until the end of time.
