GUJRANWALA: In a distressing turn of events on Prince Road, Gujranwala, an altercation between two brothers over a high electricity bill resulted in a fatal outcome. According to police reports, the dispute escalated between the siblings due to the inflated bill, leading the elder brother to fatally injure his younger sibling.
The victim, identified as Omer Farooq, succumbed to his injuries on the spot as his elder brother, Murtaza, allegedly used a sharp-edged weapon to sever his throat amidst the heated argument. Following the incident, Murtaza fled the scene and remains at large.
Police swiftly responded to the scene, transferring Omer’s body to the hospital for further procedures. The incident has shocked the local community, prompting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
