Three Women Arrested at Karachi Airport for Involvement in Begging under the Guise of Umrah
Karachi: FIA Immigration officials arrested three women at Karachi Airport for attempting to travel to Saudi Arabia under the pretext of performing Umrah while being involved in begging activities. According to an FIA spokesperson, the women were identified as Arooj Fatima, Maryam Nazir, and Jameela Bibi.
During the immigration clearance process, the women were found to be suspicious. They did not have return tickets or hotel bookings, and their funds were insufficient for performing Umrah. Additionally, the women were found to be lacking the necessary financial resources for the pilgrimage.
The spokesperson further mentioned that these women had previously been offloaded from Lahore Airport as well. Following their arrest, the women were handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Karachi for further legal proceedings, and investigations are ongoing.
