Islamabad:Concerns have intensified in Pakistan after three young men, hailing from various cities including Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, and Sialkot, reportedly went missing in Myanmar. The youths are believed to have become ensnared in a company in Myanmar under suspicious circumstances.
Families of the missing individuals have expressed distress, alleging their children may have been targeted for exploitation and violence. They have appealed to the government for urgent steps to secure their return.
Assistant Consular Ali Sher from the embassy stated that the three youths from Hyderabad were not trafficked but had arrived in Myanmar under the guise of employment. He further added that efforts are underway to swiftly locate and repatriate the youths, though legal complexities are causing delays in their retrieval.
