Third Round of Talks Between Government and PTI to Take Place Today

Islamabad:The third round of negotiations between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will take place today, with National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq presiding over the meeting of the negotiating teams.

PML-N’s Rana Sanaullah has advised PTI to adopt a patient approach during today’s talks. He raised concerns about PTI’s stance on political prisoners, asking which individuals they consider as political prisoners. He also questioned the Terms of Reference (TORs) and the powers of the judicial commission, as well as how long it would take for the commission to present its report. He emphasized that these are crucial issues that have not yet been discussed.

Rana Sanaullah expressed that addressing these matters may take some time and hoped that PTI would clarify its conditions regarding the list of political prisoners and the judicial commission during the talks. He added that PTI’s written demands would be reviewed and a response would be given after consultations with the party and its allies.
