Thailand:In a bid to bolster tourism, Thailand has announced visa-free entry for citizens of 93 countries, allowing them to stay in the country for up to 60 days without a visa requirement. This new initiative was unveiled on Monday, according to reports from international media outlets.
Previously, the Thai government had already granted visa-free entry to passport holders from 57 countries. The expansion of this policy aims to attract a larger influx of tourists from around the world.
According to official statistics from the Thai government, during the first half of the current fiscal year, the country recorded a staggering 17.5 million foreign tourist arrivals, marking a 35% increase compared to the same period last year.
In addition to tourists, Thailand has introduced a new 5-year visa for workers from other countries, allowing them to stay in Thailand for up to 180 days annually. This visa is designed to facilitate easier entry and stay for foreign workers contributing to the Thai economy.
Furthermore, students graduating with bachelor’s degrees or higher from Thai universities will now be eligible to stay in Thailand for up to one year after graduation to seek employment or pursue their next academic endeavor.
Notably, Pakistani citizens are unfortunately not included in the list of countries whose citizens can benefit from Thailand’s visa-free entry facility. The countries whose citizens now enjoy visa-free entry to Thailand include:
