Terrorist Commander Najeebullah Urges Youth to Abandon Militancy, Calls for Peaceful Struggle

Quetta:Najeebullah, a former commander of various banned organizations in Balochistan, has said that hostile nations aim to weaken the state of Pakistan, and terrorist groups exploit young people to disrupt peace and order. He made these remarks during a press conference in Quetta, where he was accompanied by provincial ministers and the Inspector General (IG) of Police.
Najeebullah revealed that he joined a terrorist organization in 2005, initially becoming part of the Baloch Republican Party (BRP) due to his interest in politics. He quickly rose to a senior position within the party. He noted that Sangat Sana played a significant role in strengthening the BRP in the Makran division. He also disclosed that on the orders of Brahamdagh Bugti, two groups were formed, with one group under his leadership and the other led by Gulzar Shanbey. After training these groups in Kalat, the BRP became active in the Makran region, leading to significant damage to the state and security forces.
Najeebullah explained that his association with the group happened during his adolescence at the age of 14 or 15. Due to his lack of education and awareness, he was filled with hatred against Pakistan and its security forces. As a result, he inflicted substantial harm on the state and its institutions. He described himself as one of the key leaders in the Makran division.
He also mentioned that a neighboring country pressured him to form a group and join the Baloch Raaji Ajoi Sangar (BRAS) alliance, but he was eventually captured and imprisoned for several months. Najeebullah shared that two of his companions, Masood and Jalil, remain missing.
The former terrorist commander emphasized that when one stands against the interests of a leader, they are either killed or captured by a neighboring country. This experience reinforced his determination to return to peaceful efforts within Pakistan, seeking to solve problems through non-violent means. He pointed out that terrorist organizations exploit youth to undermine peace and security, as foreign enemies seek to weaken Pakistan.
Najeebullah also sent a message to those still in the mountains, urging them not to be misled into joining militant campaigns against the state. He encouraged these young individuals to return and reintegrate into society, offering them a chance for a peaceful future.
Acknowledging the government’s role in providing him the opportunity to return to the national fold, Najeebullah thanked the authorities and appealed for further support for other young people who wish to join the peaceful mainstream.
Provincial Minister Zahoor Ahmed Bilidi also spoke, condemning the ongoing terrorist activities in Balochistan and applauding the two commanders who surrendered their weapons. He highlighted that two young individuals, who were heading toward the mountains, were saved by their parents. Bilidi also assured that a path was being opened for misguided individuals in the mountains, with a warm welcome for those who lay down their arms. He condemned the handlers of the terrorists, calling them enemies of peace and stability.
