Telugu Superstar Allu Arjun’s *Pushpa 2* Leaked Online Just Hours After Release
Islamabad:Allu Arjun’s much-anticipated film *Pushpa 2*, which was released in cinemas on December 5, has already been leaked online within hours of its release. According to Indian media reports, the film was uploaded on illegal platforms such as *TamilRockers*, *Telegram*, and other notorious piracy websites soon after its theatrical debut. The pirated version of *Pushpa 2* is now available for download and streaming on various sites.
The film, starring Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, and Rashmika Mandanna, is the sequel to the blockbuster *Pushpa: The Rise* and has been one of the most awaited Indian films of the past three years. The excitement surrounding the release of *Pushpa 2* was immense, given the massive success of its predecessor, which earned both critical and commercial acclaim.
Before its release, *Pushpa 2* had already broken multiple records, surpassing several Bollywood films in advance ticket sales. Reports suggest that the film earned millions of rupees in advance sales and sold over 300,000 tickets within just 12 hours, beating Shah Rukh Khan’s *Pathaan*, which sold 200,000 tickets on its opening day. However, the film’s success at the box office was marred by the unfortunate news of its early online leak.
Following its release, ticket prices in major cinemas in Mumbai and Delhi soared, with some tickets selling for as much as ₹2500, reflecting the high demand for the film.
It’s noteworthy that *Pushpa* (2021), the first installment of the franchise, became the highest-grossing Indian film of the year, earning ₹270 crore in India and ₹350 crore globally. Allu Arjun’s remarkable performance in the film earned him the prestigious National Film Award.
Despite its early success, the leak of *Pushpa 2* highlights the ongoing problem of piracy in the film industry, which continues to affect the revenues of high-profile releases.
