Talal Chaudhry Responds to KP CM’s Threat, Calls for Accountability of 13 Years of PTI Government

Islamabad:State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry has responded to the threatening remarks made by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, urging him to account for the 13 years of PTI governance in the province.

During a press conference in Islamabad, Ali Amin Gandapur had once again warned the federal government that if the issues agreed upon in the National Finance Commission (NFC) are not resolved by the end of the month, he will take the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with the police and government officials, onto the streets.

In response to Gandapur’s threats, Talal Chaudhry appeared on Geo News’ program *”Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Ke Sath”* and stated, “The federal government has already given Khyber Pakhtunkhwa more than its share from the NFC, so Gandapur should account for the 13 years of the PTI government in KP. The allegations by PTI members are correct—they say that their own people have embezzled billions of rupees.”

Regarding PTI’s statement about negotiations, Chaudhry said that the party was merely engaging in self-talk and was not engaging in any real dialogue with anyone. He further remarked, “When a disobedient child is once disowned, it’s difficult to rebuild ties. The talk of negotiations by PTI is just self-talk. Any negotiations should happen in the same parliament from which they exited after breaking ties.”

Talal Chaudhry also emphasized that the policy towards Afghanistan will be Pakistan’s policy, not PTI’s.
