A British court has sentenced 53-year-old Julie Savini to 15 months in prison for posting hateful content about a mosque on social media during the violent protests. Savini admitted that her post was made in anger and stated that she did not intend to spread fear, acknowledging that it was a mistake and pledging to delete the post.
In addition, 26-year-old Connor Whitley and 49-year-old Trevor Lloyd have each been sentenced to 3 years in prison for charges of racism and incitement to violent mob actions.
60-year-old Glenn Guest received a 2-year and 8-month prison term for dragging a police officer in South Yorkshire.
