Lahore: Punjab’s Information Minister Azma Bukhari rejoiced, saying “Congratulations! Personal preference, childhood love, and cricket have triumphed!” Reacting to the Supreme Court’s decision, Provincial Minister Azma Bukhari commented, “What are constitutions, laws, and institutions for? They only seem to matter when they favor our darling. Bravo!”
Bukhari continued, “The entire nation should direct its fury towards these terrorists and corruption. Ironically, the movement heard the case, but provided relief to the corruption movement. Bravo, dear, bravo!”
The provincial information minister and spokesperson for the Muslim League-N Punjab added, “Domestic interference vanquished agency interference, while the judiciary repeated a dark history. This time, the constitution has been rewritten in personal preference and love for our darling.”
It’s worth noting that the Supreme Court declared the Peshawar High Court and Election Commission’s decision regarding specific seats of the Sunni Alliance Council null and void. Under the leadership of Chief Justice Justice Qazi Faez Isa, the 13-member larger bench of the Supreme Court had preserved the decision regarding the case related to the Sunni Alliance Council’s specific seats, which was heard by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.
On May 13, the court declared the Election Commission’s notification unconstitutional. The majority decision of the Supreme Court stated that depriving a party of electoral symbols does not deprive them of the right to participate in elections.
