Supreme Court Restores PPP’s Haji Mir Obaidullah Gorgij as Winner of PB-44

Islamabad:In a significant ruling, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has restored the victory of Haji Mir Obaidullah Gorgij, the successful candidate of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) from PB-44, in the election dispute case. The three-member bench, headed by Justice Shahid Waheed, heard the case and overturned the decision of the Election Tribunal, declaring it null and void.

This ruling comes as a major relief for the PPP candidate, who had been facing challenges to his victory in the provincial assembly seat. The court’s decision reinstates his position as the duly elected representative for the constituency.
