Supreme Court Karachi Registry Issues Written Order on Fake Degrees and Jobs Case

Karachi:The Supreme Court’s 2-member bench at Karachi Registry has issued a written order regarding the case of obtaining government jobs through fake degrees and PCR tests. The Supreme Court directed notices to the Sindh government and the Advocate General Sindh, ordering them to present the case before a 3-member bench in the next session. The written order highlighted that according to the Sindh High Court’s decisions, the Sindh government had formed a scrutiny committee, as well as appellate committees for applications against PCR tests and fake degrees. It further stated that as per the applicant’s claims, the Additional Chief Secretary-led committee was required to complete its work within 30 days under the rules and regulations, but no significant inquiry was conducted during the specified period. According to the order, after 2 years and 10 months, the committee only compiled a report on 4 districts, which the Sindh High Court allegedly disregarded based on the applicant’s claims. Consequently, the 2-member bench of the Supreme Court issued notices to the Sindh government and the Advocate General Sindh and directed the case to be presented before a 3-member bench in the upcoming session.
