Successful Sabaa Literary Festival Held in Malir by Baloch Students Action Committee

Karachi:The Baloch Students Action Committee successfully organized the Sabaa Literary Festival in Malir, Karachi, which featured various intellectual and literary segments. The one-day festival included speeches, panel discussions, the launch of a book titled *Lume Boli*, research papers, documentaries, drama, tableau performances, and an art exhibition named after renowned Baloch artist Kamancher Baloch.

The event commenced with the national anthem of Balochistan, followed by a tribute to the life and political and literary contributions of Shaheed Sabaa Dashtyari. A pamphlet and research paper were presented on his legacy. The festival also featured a panel discussion on Shaheed Sabaa, with panelists Ramadan Bamri, Asghar Ali Azg, and Zarif Baloch, moderated by Mzeer Baloch. Another panel discussion focused on the current issues facing Baloch people in Karachi, moderated by Noor Baloch, with panelists Hafeez Baloch and Zarkhan Baloch.

In the speech segments, Baloch writers and analysts such as Anwar Sajidi discussed Baloch politics and the current era, while Professor Dr. Farooq Baloch provided insights into the history of Baloch and Balochistan. Basak’s General Secretary Azhar Baloch addressed the role of Baloch students and political resistance, and the central spokesperson Azir Baloch spoke about the importance and success of the Sabaa Literary Festival.

Following the speeches, several research papers were presented on topics such as Shaheed Sabaa Dashtyari by Rizwan Baloch, the Rind and Lashar war by Ghulam Rasool Kalmaty, media and Baloch issues by Fahd Baloch, Banal Dashtyari by Shah Taj Baloch, and Baloch political history in Karachi by Peerjan Baloch.

The festival showcased four documentaries: *Kandil Ain Sabaa*, *Balochistan Kitab Karwan*, *Nimraane Mubarak Qazi*, and *The Baloch Society Struggling with Drugs*. The Gham segment included dialogues among children from Old and New Malir, Gham Chap, Gham Presentation, Gham Kahani, and Gham Arts.

In the subsequent segments, *Sur Singer Azmi Majlis* presented a drama about Shaheed Sabaa Dashtyari and another drama on Shirzal Sabin Mahmood. An art exhibition named after Kamancher Baloch featured artwork from Baloch artists and photographers, including works by Mehrwan Art Academy and Hamal Salar.

The festival also featured the *Lume Boli* booklet exhibition, with book stalls from Balochistan Kitab Karwan and Syed Reference Library. The event was attended by a large number of people, including prominent guests such as Anwar Sajidi, Dr. Farooq Baloch, Asghar Ali Azg, Ramadan Bamri, Zarkhan Baloch, Hafeez Baloch, Lala Wahab Baloch, Ramadan Baloch, Nisar Ahmed, Zarif Baloch, Riyaz Baloch, Nasser Jamal, Azhar Baloch (General Secretary of Basak), Azir Baloch (Central Spokesperson), Fahd Baloch (Central Committee Member), and Peerjan Baloch.

The event also expressed gratitude towards organizations and institutions such as Syed Hashmi Reference Library, Master Imam Bakhsh Library, Mehrwan Art Academy, Sur Singer Azmi Majlis, and various artists for their participation in the national struggle and support.
