Islamabad:Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (North), in collaboration with other agencies, has successfully conducted anti-smuggling operations in various regions of Balochistan.
According to an FC spokesperson, during the period from 1st June to 23rd July, successful operations against smuggling have been carried out in different areas including Dera Murad Jamali, Barkhan, Pishin, Chaman, Nushki, Zhob, and Mastung. These operations resulted in the thwarting of illegal items worth over 632 million rupees.
Reportedly, the seized items included 28,310 liters of Iranian diesel, 2,652 tires, 287 cartons of cigarettes, and 14 metric tons of Chinese urea fertilizer.
Other confiscated items from smugglers included non-custom paid vehicles, Chinese salt, and mobile phones, which have been handed over to customs authorities.
FC Balochistan stated that smugglers were involved in smuggling these items through trucks, passenger buses, and covert routes, but timely action by FC Balochistan led to the success of these operations.
