Stock Market Hits New All-Time High, Dollar Becomes Cheaper
Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continues to perform positively, reaching its highest-ever level, while the value of the US dollar has also declined.
On the fifth and final trading day of the week, the stock market saw a strong upward movement. The 100-index rose by 1,316 points at the start of the session, pushing the index to a new high of 112,000 points.
At the close of the previous day’s trading, the index had settled at 108,804 points. Meanwhile, the value of the Pakistani rupee strengthened further as the US dollar depreciated. The dollar dropped by 10 paisas in the interbank market, settling at 278.10 PKR.
This positive market performance reflects investor confidence and ongoing stability in the economy.
