Quetta:In response to the potential spread of monkeypox, a special ICU ward has been established at Bolan Medical Complex Hospital Quetta. This initiative aims to curb the possible outbreak of the disease and provide comprehensive medical care to affected patients.
Dr. Muhammad Afzal Zarkon, the Medical Superintendent of BMCH Quetta, inaugurated the new ward following special directives from the Provincial Health Minister of Balochistan, Sardar Zada Mir Faisal Khan Jamali, and the Provincial Secretary Health Balochistan, Saleh Muhammad Baloch. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Head of Department Medical Unit 4B Dr. Siraj, Provincial Head of EPI Balochistan Dr. Kamalan Gachki, AMS Bolan Medical Complex Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, Nursing Supervisor Zahid Baloch, and other staff members.
Dr. Muhammad Afzal Zarkon stated, “In light of the potential spread of monkeypox in the province, we have established a state-of-the-art ICU ward at Bolan Medical Complex Hospital. This ward, which has been officially inaugurated, is equipped with all necessary facilities to ensure the best possible care for patients.”
