Quetta:Captain (R) Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai, Speaker of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly, has strongly condemned the severe interference in government affairs by the unregistered Baloch Unity Committee. In his statement, the Speaker emphasized that Balochistan is a province whose population is not limited to Baloch people alone but also comprises many other tribes. The roadblocks and strikes initiated by the Baloch Unity Committee have severely disrupted the daily lives of people from all tribes, causing immense hardships and disruptions.
The Speaker pointed out that representatives of Baloch people are already present in the provincial assembly, and if there are any grievances, they should be raised through their representatives in the assembly. He reiterated that shutting down roads and calling strikes is not a solution to any problem and only creates disturbances in the daily lives of the entire province.
Furthermore, the Speaker expressed concern that the actions of this small group, the Baloch Unity Committee, are challenging the government’s writ, leading to unnecessary chaos and unrest. He urged the Baloch Unity Committee to engage in constructive dialogue and use appropriate channels to address their concerns.
The Speaker reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring the security of all citizens of Balochistan and emphasized that the government will utilize all means to protect the lives and property of its people.
