Six Nigerians Arrested for Supplying Drugs to Educational Institutions in Islamabad
Islamabad: A six-member Nigerian drug trafficking ring involved in supplying narcotics to educational institutions in Islamabad has been arrested. According to officials from the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), the operation began with the arrest of one Nigerian national, who, during questioning, revealed the involvement of his fellow foreign associates.
The suspect’s disclosure led to raids, and five more Nigerians were arrested near a hotel in Sector G-13. A search of their apartment resulted in the recovery of 135 grams of cocaine and 3.2 kilograms of ice (crystal meth). The arrested individuals admitted to supplying drugs to students at hostels and educational institutions.
ANF officials stated that a significant number of foreign nationals arrested for drug trafficking in Pakistan this year are from African countries. They also highlighted that drug smugglers continue to use new and dangerous methods to carry out their operations. The ANF emphasized that operations against drug trafficking in educational institutions will continue.
