Six New Judges Take Oath in the Supreme Court of Pakistan

Islamabad:Six new judges, promoted from lower courts, have taken their oath of office in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Yahya Afridi, administered the oath to the new judges.
The judges who took the oath include Justice Amir Farooq, Justice Hashim Kakr, Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, Justice Shakeel Ahmed, Justice Shafi Siddiqui, and Justice Salahuddin Panhwar.
Additionally, Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb also took his oath as an Acting Judge of the Supreme Court. Chief Justice Yahya Afridi administered the oath to Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb as well.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Islamabad High Court Judge Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, the Attorney General, lawyers, law officers, and court staff. This marks a significant step in the judicial development of the country, with these new appointments strengthening the Supreme Court’s capacity.
