Six Killed in Traffic Accidents During Eid Holidays in Karachi

In Karachi, six people lost their lives in traffic accidents over the course of the three days of Eid celebrations.
According to the police, the first fatal accident occurred on the first day of Eid in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area, where one person died. On the second day, another individual lost their life in a traffic incident in Malir.
The police further reported that on the third day, four more people were killed in accidents in Orangi Town, Super Highway, and the SITE area. In Orangi Town, a rickshaw collided with a stationary tanker at the 10th number area, leading to the death of the rickshaw driver. The accident was attributed to the rickshaw’s high speed. On Super Highway near Jamali Bridge, a vehicle collided with a pedestrian woman, killing her, and injuring her mother. In Liaquatabad, a speeding car hit a motorcyclist, resulting in the death of the young man.
The police also reported that during the three days of Eid, 165 individuals were injured in various traffic accidents. So far this year, 238 people have died, and 3,131 have been injured in traffic-related incidents.
