Sindh Minister Nisar Shah Criticizes PTI’s Protest Politics, Urges for Peaceful Resolution
Islamabad:Sindh’s Provincial Minister for Energy, **Nisar Shah**, has criticized **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)** for its politics of violence and chaos, claiming that their protests, including the announcement to march on Islamabad, have only led to destruction. Speaking at the **Sindh Craft Festival**, Nisar Shah stated that PTI engages in disruptive politics, often resorting to violence and spreading falsehoods about the events of **May 9**.
He also pointed out that PTI’s lawyers, instead of focusing on legal proceedings, are engaged in political maneuvering. He emphasized that the release of **PTI founder Imran Khan** will not come through protests but through the **courts**. “Imran Khan’s release will happen through legal processes, not through street protests,” he remarked.
In a bid to promote peace, the Sindh minister advised PTI to steer away from violence and engage in constructive politics. He further suggested that if Imran Khan were to admit his mistakes, it would not absolve him of his actions, but it could initiate a process of reconciliation. “Imran Khan admitting his mistakes won’t erase his past actions, but it could mark the beginning of a new political path,” he said.
In a separate statement, **PPP spokesperson Shazia Marri** questioned why PTI’s protests seem to coincide with the visits of foreign dignitaries. She criticized the **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government**, led by PTI, for focusing on military-style confrontations with the federal government rather than working towards maintaining peace. “The KP government is more interested in mounting attacks on the federal government than in fostering peace and stability,” she said.
The comments from both Nisar Shah and Shazia Marri reflect growing concerns within the **Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)** about the ongoing political instability and PTI’s confrontational approach to resolving issues.
