Sindh Chief Minister Announces 30,000 Google Scholarships for Students

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has announced that 30,000 students will be awarded Google scholarships, with the potential to earn between 70,000 to 1.6 million rupees per month. The scholarships are part of an agreement between the Sindh government, Google, and Tech Valley.

During the launch of 30,000 Google Career Certificate Scholarships, the Chief Minister emphasized that the Sindh government is making revolutionary strides in digital education and skill development.

He explained that the scholarships will not only benefit students in general but will also focus on special quotas for underprivileged communities and women.

The Chief Minister further stated that 30% of the scholarships are specifically targeted towards women, with special attention being paid to disadvantaged groups. Google has designed the courses, which can be completed online, allowing students to learn at their own pace.

Upon completing the program, students will be able to earn anywhere between 70,000 to 1.6 million rupees per month. The aim is to ensure equal educational opportunities for all youth in Sindh, empowering them with the skills needed for global-level training.

Spokesperson for the Sindh government, Tahseen Abdi, stated that the primary goal of this initiative is to equip Sindh’s youth, particularly women, with quality education that empowers them to become financially independent. Initially, students from 30 universities in Sindh will benefit from this program.
