Significant Reduction in Petrol and Diesel Prices Expected in Pakistan

Islamabad:Following a continuous decline in global crude oil prices, there is a possibility of a significant decrease in the prices of petroleum products in Pakistan. The government is considering providing relief to the public; however, the final confirmation of the exact price changes is still pending.
According to sources, it is expected that from April 16, 2025, the prices of petrol and diesel could be reduced by 12 rupees per liter.
Petrol, which is currently priced at 254.63 rupees per liter, is expected to drop to 242 rupees per liter. Additionally, the price of diesel is also anticipated to decrease due to the global downturn, with its price expected to fall from 258.64 rupees per liter to approximately 250 rupees per liter.
This reduction in prices will likely provide significant relief to consumers, particularly in light of the rising cost of living.
