Significant Reduction Expected in Petroleum Prices in Pakistan
Islamabad: Following a decrease in global crude oil prices, Pakistan is anticipated to see a substantial reduction in petroleum product prices. Sources indicate that from August 1, petroleum products could become up to 11 rupees per liter cheaper.
For the upcoming 15 days, a decrease of 5.50 rupees per liter is expected for petrol and up to 11 rupees per liter for diesel. Additionally, kerosene oil might see a reduction of up to 5.84 rupees per liter, while light diesel prices could drop by up to 5 rupees per liter.
In the past 10 days, the global market has witnessed a decline in crude oil prices. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will determine the new prices based on global market trends today. The final notification will be issued following the Prime Minister’s approval.
