Significant Energy Discoveries in Pakistan with SIFC’s Support, Boosting Economic Stability

With the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), notable successes are being achieved in the exploration of energy reserves. The prosperity of the energy sector, crucial for economic stability, remains a key priority for SIFC.
Thanks to SIFC’s assistance, OGDC and Mari Petroleum Limited have discovered new gas reserves. OGDC’s discovery in Attock District will produce 13.95 million cubic feet of gas per day. In addition, Mari Petroleum Limited made two significant gas discoveries in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Waziristan Block, marking an important step toward the country’s energy self-sufficiency.
Moreover, gas reserves have also been discovered in Sindh’s Dadu district under a joint venture between Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and the Polish Oil and Gas Company.
These discoveries by PPL, OGDC, and Mari Petroleum will enhance energy reserves and boost industrial development. SIFC’s efforts are expected to increase investment and production in the energy sector.
As a result of these achievements, Pakistan is expected to gain better control over its gas shortages while reducing reliance on imports. The successful energy discoveries with SIFC’s support are a welcome development for economic stability and industrial growth.
